They'd just be discharged or put in jail and thus not be in a place to help now or to defend the country. Check the ones that did stand against this.

It's between a rock and a hard place but honor is supposed to come first. Hopefully hegseth will reward bonuses to those who did the honorable thing

I'd put sticking it out defending the country and lives of others in the honorable action category. The problem in this situation is conflicting duties in which fair weather patriots can pretend to have ben acting interest of others.
