Both the same thing but in this instance the woman was struck with a infection such as strep throat, and the care she received was neglect because she was going septic, and the physicians knew this was the case but instead sent her home several times with antibiotic treatment because ultrasound still showed fetal activity. Those doctors knew, but sent her away because she was a liability. The hospitals in both instances were neglant in care. She should have been admitted and supervised, given antibiotics through a iv, and monitored at the least, but I'm not a doctor so what do I know.

For the love of God a miscarriage is a spontaneous abortion. Because the loss of a fetus is technically an abortion weather it happens naturally, or needs to occur with doctor assistance. Many women go septic if they cannot pass the fetus, but I guess this isn't common knowledge to the average Christian Catholic, and even a devout Catholic would rather risk her life than to have a doctor assistance in removal of a miscarriage.
