Like it was originally "Mahonesa de huevo", to then be taken by the french as "mayonnaise d'oeuf', to then be retaken in spain as "Mayonesa".
Like the fact that "Dolar" in spanish and "Dobloon" in english shouldn't exist, as a dollar was the english equivalent to a spanish doblón, which as far as I remember it's called that bc it's worth twice as much as a crown.
