That's very cool. Have they taught you how to make jewelry too?
My grandma didn't make any jewelry to my knowledge. She liked to sew and quilt though, and was a pretty good cook. My grandma likely bought this owl necklace somewhere in the 60s or 70s (based on similar necklaces I found while trying to get information about it). My grandma had quite a thing for jewelry. She used to have a standing jewelry box that was as tall as like a mini fridge with many drawers and compartments full of jewelry. She had more jewelry and clothes than I think anyone could ever wear in their life. Lol.
Despite that, she was mostly a sweet and generous person. She wasn't afraid to speak her mind though, or defend others and what she believes in. And she could hold quite a grudge if she didn't like someone. She had that firey Hatfield blood in her after all (Hatfields and McCoys feud). Lol. Mostly though, she was just a really sweet person to pretty much everyone.
