I was one of 12 students in my 11th grade chemistry class.

My 8th grade year I went to 3 different small town schools in Texas. The third school was literally all in one L shaped building. Pre-K at one end and seniors at the other. There were 7 graduating seniors that year. Biggest graduating class they'd seen in years. I started on Monday. Three days later, on Thursday, one of the students shot and killed the principal.

The size of the schools, or classes, don't matter.

The student to teacher ratio can vary from school to school. I went to a very good school, and in my eleventh grade chemistry class, I was one of students.

Greatest house in the world to visit around Halloween. He had the biggest pumpkin I've ever seen on his porch, wrought iron fence with gargoyles and dragons. Saw his kids come out and walk to school. It was friggin great!

That was the most bizarre school shooting of all because not only was the shooter an adult, he wasn't a teacher or employee of the school. He never was even a student at the school as far as I know. At least he saved the criminal justice system some money, resources and time by committing suicide.
