Wow! Good on you! That is usually my job. want to know a funny story? A cat found the way to my property. It seemed pregnant and very hungry. So I got it kitten food for the extra calories and shelter. Named her Carmelita. Bigger and bigger the stomach grew. Still no kittens. It was too many weeks beyond normal gestation. The vet kept asking if I was sure it was pregnant. I argued, "Of course I do! I've fostered several litters. I think I know when a cat is pregnant." Good Lord, how rude! Finally, I got an appointment at the vet. They took the cat to the back office, which freaks me out when I can't see what they're doing. Vet comes in and says, "Well, the cat definitely is not pregnant."...." WHAT?!" ..."it's a male."...."PROVE IT!" (Crazy vet!)...yep, a neutered male. I laughed and laughed! Changed her name to George.
