Lol, I’m not worried about my age showing at this point. Most of my memes don’t do well anyway. I’ve been on here almost 9 years and only submitted a little over 500 memes. I’m mostly a commenter but figured I’d throw this meme up there just to make sure I still don’t have what it takes.

I admit I like Star Trek! The original & Next Generation. But when I've used the images, folks don't get it. Makes me feel like I'm showing my my age.

In my case, I think my meme idea is too strange to get any upvotes. It’s ok, at least I get it. My comments are the same, I think people don’t know what my joke is. When I joined here, most people were adults it seemed. I only knew of one kid that was in high school on here. Even then, I was probably older than most. Now, it’s like it’s mostly school aged users. A lot of the gaming or movie references I don’t get, but I try to joke around anyway. With all the streams available now, I could just go find a rock to crawl under where I fit in better. I’m not doing that yet anyway.

I've learned a lot from the younger folks. It's kind of embarrassing the things I'd never heard of. And I've learned a lot about myself. And...it's been confirmed that, still, no one gets my humor. Or, I'm actually the funniest person I know. 😋

I say things that would make ME laugh, and hope that someone else gets it. All in all, my statement on my profile says it all, “I come here to laugh, and hopefully make someone else smile.” I try not to get too involved in heavy, important issues. Not that they aren’t important, it just doesn’t go with my mission statement. I do get in there once in a while, especially when there’s a big news story.

Have you seen his series "Dice"...? Yeah, we need him to voice that part of us that no one gets but is the best

I’ve never seen his series, but have listened to his performances. He has a way with words, lol 🤣

I've never been a fan of his stand up (I was too young)...but his series is great! Can't feel old watching it.

I like season 1, episode 6 with Adrian Brody trying to imitate Dice. And season 2 is better than 1. Let me know if you watch it. Seriously, not as rude and crude as his standup.

I never even heard about his show. I wouldn’t mind seeing it, especially because it shows him in a different light. His stand up is very over the top and I don’t need that. Several years ago, while cleaning out some old stuff I had, I threw his tapes in the trash. I don’t think anyone would benefit from me donating them.

Not sure if you saw my reply 22h ago...I just finished the second season of "Dice" which was about him coming to terms with being around 60. It ended with him singing. Then, an early Andrew Dice Clay standup show came on. Good Lord, it was horrible! I didn't laugh once. He was good at impressions and actually a good singer. But not a funny stand up at all. I do like the character he plays as an older Dice: much more mellow, not too offensive, and more of a mafia wannabe with a sweet side. But his younger work...ack!

Yeah, Dice is very crude. I’m more of a George Carlin type. Back in the day, I was listening to Dice at work while using headphones. A girl I knew came over to my bench and looked at the cassette case. Then she asked if she could borrow the tape! I warned her and said I’m not responsible if you’re offended. She said fine and borrowed it. The whole time she had it, I kept thinking of all the terrible things he said on the tape and wondered what she must think of me. She came back and said it was hilarious!!!

My favorite comedian is Mike Birbiglia. This show might be a good one to start with if you've never seen him. Not crude, no swear words...except one when he was telling his story about appearing on the Muppet Show. I kept thinking, "Hmm. How could I make that joke into a meme?" or "Haha! That would be a good image for a meme!" You might think better of me if you see it. It's on Netflix, not sure where else.
