I find it funny how most adults brag that they got to go anywhere and get into trouble without phones and stuff, and that their childhoods were better than ours, but they won't let their kids do a single thing without letting them know where they are and why out of fear of them getting in trouble.

personally I usually don't suffer from "this" although usually the newer rules (not that I agree with all of them on a personal level) make more sense because even though a lot of adults bragged how they did a lot of dumb stuff just remember thats why you're here right now, because they did a lot of "dumb stuff" and now because of their mistakes they want to prevent you from making those same mistakes that they made when they were younger so you could live the life they wanted but couldn't live because of their actions back in the day

also phones were a thing in the 90's and extremely late 80's although they were usually pretty bad and weren't as reliable as a typical pager that they could have been carrying around (also before you say anything about pagers have really short range a cheap one from the 1950's had a range of 25 miles or if you're not american around 40 kilometers
