Re: Ukraine corruption- when the USSR disintegrated, there was great concern that corruption in Ukraine would result in nuclear ICBM’s being dismantled and given to Middle East terrorists. Consequently, the Budapest memorandum was signed by Ukraine, Russia, the UK and USA. Ukraine gave its nuclear weapons to Russia and in return received guarantees of Ukraine’s sovereignty and current border; the UK and USA pledged to provide support to Ukraine if attacked.
I say let’s just give an Ukraine a bunch of battlefield nukes capable of reaching Moscow from Kiev and be done with it.
