But that's the LAST thing those who founded this country could have imagined. And we're told if we don't get on board with this "kept" way of thinking, that we have no compassion? Thank goodness for the state and especially the local response to this, particularly in western NC, where the devastation is severe. If those good people had to wait for the federal govt to actually help them, they'd be waiting a long, long time.
Be honest folks, the federal govt and FEMA in particular, are not suited to quick disaster response. Nor effective disaster response, apparently. FEMA and the Dept of DHS need to be torn down to the studs and rebuilt if they're ever going to be effective in situations like this.
Biden wouldn't do that. Hell, he gives people promotions when they fcuk up! Harris would never do it, because the Dept of DHS and FEMA in particular might come out being more efficient / productive, and cost less money for we the taxpayers.
