Yes, but what would save the environment is releasing everyone from rent slavery. If we didn't have to work so hard to pay off the investor class, the environment would not be in danger in the first place. But no environmental organizations are funded by renters or by forest animals. They are ALL funded by landlords. The same is true for "education" (which leaves economics completely out), "news" companies and political parties. None of them are trying to let society work less and enjoy our daily lives. They are ALL trying to pile more work on us AND blame us for the deteriorating ecosystem.

And landowners would be slave to the tax man. If the government could burden land-owners with all taxes needed there would not be all these other taxes paid now. I think a flat income tax or a flat sales tax would be fair.

When the only tax is on land ownership, free land will become available because only those who need it will want to own it. So, land will be cheap and labor will be expensive.

The people will have all the power and the tax rate will be whatever we decide. The government will not have all the power while we slave for 60 hours a week to pay rent. That's what will change, a reversal from landlord power to labor power.

That's why they can't teach economics in school. They want us to be cheap and constantly desperate for their green paper.

Wrong. Land will only be affordable by the rich.

You are describing the situation now, where wealth production is taxed and land hoarding is profitable.

If every tax is abolished except on land, land ownership will become a burden, not an investment. Only users will want to take on the burden of ownership. Investors will put their money into everything EXCEPT land ownership.
