i meant i made some posts in msmg that may have motivated some msmg users to come here and harass you guys by making posts (which i absolutely do not support any of them)

i looked over at msmg for the first time in 3 months (making it my second time). it has made me question why people are still here. some stuff is just messed up ngl.

what posts in particular did you think were messed up?

idk, i saw some homophobic stuff but that wasnt it. i guess its a me thing because it is ligit just a shitpost stream.

i haven’t seen homophobic stuff there in a while actually most of us aren’t even really homophobic anymore

yeah, thats nice. its just that i always imagine streams as citys. this one has some demosished buildings. i guess this stream will be entering a new era. what do you think abount msmg? was it impacted much from this?

the lgbtq stream has definitely changed after this, msmg not so much, i guess msmg now just dislikes the lgbtq stream somewhat more but there hasn’t been a particularly big change in anything, only one new msmg moderator has been put in since the drama (which was me of all people actually)

at least two of the lgbtq stream users made posts in msmg saying they disliked the discourse between the two streams to the point where they would leave the site and/or delete their account because of the drama, but most msmg users ignored it since they didn’t like the lgbtq stream anyway

personally i do regret the drama to a certain extent but i also think a lot of msmg users are kind of right in thinking content in the lgbtq stream is sort of cringy and that moderation is biased
it still doesn’t make it better to harass any of the users here though

i think like three people left and one more is leaving. i can agree with the discource and how it needs to stop.

what part is cringe? moderation is biased like most people are, normal human behaviour.

cringe as in some of the posts here are announcement templates with tons of pride flags on them, which some msmg users find unnecessary to include, they also find some of the humor in the posts here to be stupid

biased as in memes posted by any non-active user here (like me for instance) are pretty much no longer allowed for being “off topic” even though the rules say that memes of any kind are allowed as long as they aren’t homophobic
yet if an active user posts a meme it will be allowed

also one time msmg users kept commenting just “penid” on an asexual user’s post as a joke and invaderbethany assumed that because of recent drama between the two streams (since potassium and the rest of msmg had attacked lil kitten for not liking sexual comments and had blamed that on them being asexual) that we were somehow harassing them for being asexual, so everyone who commented “Penid” on the post were banned from the stream temporarily and had their comments deleted
well, everyone except the active lgbtq users there who had commented the same thing, and who had zero repercussions

we think that the lgbtq mods automatically think of us as stupid and homophobic and discriminate against us purely because of a preconceived notion that msmg users are inherently homophobic, even though since the saucekuum in may 2023 the stream has gradually grown away from that
it’s been over 16 months since that happened and we’re still thought of as generally highly homophobic and edgy, which we find inaccurate

i guess the problem is: yall are just letting it be cringe. cringe is in the eye of the beholder and some cringes arent cringfail.

you my freind post no less than i do here (overstament, i dont post a lot but it is still more than you (i think)) also i think the rule is : gay memes. no homophlbic anouncements.

some people dont like stupid jokes like that, myself included. also the fact they were commenting on images *here* kinda makes it that mods need to get involved. it is their stream to look after. because of this train of thought one might assume that worst was to come so beth did the cautious thing and banned (i am making this up but i feel like this is how it went)
they also got repercussions you likely didnt see it.

i feel like people have several biased preventing them from seeing the bigger picture. example: i never go over to msmg so i cant see what users from here do over there

The first deleted post is typically done with no punishment. The next one gets a temporary ban and increases with each comment. That is the general rule. Some people get a longer ban because they commented more that other people.

The rule regarding off-topic posts is called Jaiden & Erin's rule (Please read‼️).
