Where is there no housing shortage? I live in Wilmington, NC where affordable housing is a big problem. Of course, the problem is more complicated than I could explain in a meme. It is clearly an exaggeration, but in some cities, housing illegals and homeless is a major factor.

At least you are at least acknowledging that deficit spending is causing inflation. TDS is still a problem. Good luck with that.

I totally agree with you. Republicans blame Democrats but spend just as much money. No return for our money because it goes to graft and corruption. Military Industrial Complex, bailing out failed states like CA and NY, growing the bureaucracy, corporate welfare, propping up failed countries, unnecessary infrastructure projects, all of that, and more. Both Parties are to blame. I have said this over and over.

I remember prices being fine until COVID hit them a shortage took place in 2021 and retailers hiked up the prices. 64 to 80 bucks for plywood, 40 bucks for one 2x4 65 bucks for a gallon of paint. 2021 killed the housing market. And as far as building homes and cheap labor goes builders are greedy even after the price of materials have fallen. 265 +++ dollars a hour in labor +++ materials is crazy.

Lumber and materials went down, but food never went down much, maybe eggs. Inflation is the tax we pay for expanding the government. The government produces nothing. It only consumes.
