Both are true, but it was Trump's peers who unanimously found him guilty 34 times, not the justice system.

Peers. . .didn't know the jury was made up of 12 white men.

It says a lot about you that you think "his peers" means white men.

So you think this case was so important that it justified the first EVER criminal charges vs an ex president? (please explain his charges also)

Absolutely so - he committed fraud 34 times during the course of 2016 and 2017 to cover up the fact he paid off a porn star for her silence in what was ultimately a *successful* attempt to affect the outcome of the 2016 election.

Were it not for his fraud, he would never have become president in the first place, and allowing that to go unpunished poses a grave danger to our republic and system of laws.

What he did is 100% legal, famous people pay others all the time for their silence and New York actually had to change the laws and statue of limitations in order to come up with these bogus charges

Yeah, no - 17-152, conspiracy to promote or prevent the election through unlawful means has been on the books in New York for more than a decade, as are the laws that toll statutes of limitations when someone who commits felonies leaves the state to avoid prosecution.

Trump not only immediately left the state, he moved to Florida in an attempt to avoid accountability for his felonious conspiracy to hide his cheating with a porn star from voters.

was it always a felony? Or was that changed specifically for Trumps case?

Nothing was changed for Trump - `falsifying business records` alone is a misdemeanor, but it automatically becomes `Falsifying business records in the first degree` if you do it to commit or conceal another crime, which Trump and Cohen were doing by paying off Stormy before the 2016 election, and then reimbursing Cohen from company funds for the year thereafter.
