The joke is that everyone else in my class is so used to digital clocks that they can't read an analog and I can read an analog

this is an unpopular opinion but i do prefer digital clocks, simply because they're way faster to read and usually provide it in 24-hour time (e.g. 14:00 instead of 2PM) which i personally prefer
that said, analog clocks *are* cool and i'm sure one could read it fast enough if known well enough, but the simplicity and quick readability (even for a dum-dum like myself) just makes it preferable for me and many others

i can read analog with some effort if it's a multiple of 15 minutes (i.e. hands at a multiple of 90 degrees), but if the hands are all over the place then i am clueless
