Jesus has been missing for 2,000 years. He's obviously not it, especially since he himself said he will return before the generation of his followers came to pass. He didn't. The Temple was destroyed, Judea fell to the Romans. Although bar Kokhba did rule over free Jerusalem one for some years during the revolt. So he was more of a messiah but then that ended too.
