"That is correct. Now get out of my classroom."

I guess that kid's so smart, the teacher decided to kick him out because he's so advanced he doesn't need to be in that class.

When I broke my wrist, I went to physical therapy, and I spent enough time exercising my wrist at home that the therapist decided to cancel the last therapy session because I made so much progress. That felt good on many levels.

Yeah, I still will say that, no matter how much I detest Biden and everything he and his administration stands for, the J6 riots were too extreme. That's not "peaceful" assembly.

So, you weren't flowing the debate the way your debate coach taught you. What she said was that it was "the worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War". Because, unlike the attack on Pearl Harbor or the terrorist attacks of September 11th, it was an attempt by native-born US citizens to tear the structure of our constitutional republic apart.

Wow, when you say it like that...I'm sorry, that sounds horrifying, you're right. I'm sure they used a lot of crazy weapons to tear down the capital building. Did they use bazookas?

Slowly, then: not the physical structure of the buildings, but the structure of laws and customs that hold our country's government together. The USA survived having our capital city burned down entirely by enemies (love ya, Great Britain!), but having our laws and customs torn apart by citizens is different.

Sorry, I've been busy -- thanks for bumping the thread.

Huh. Good point. So why haven't those people who are burning American flags and chanting "death to America" been arrested yet? And why was that pride flag put on the White House? Doesn't that establish a national religion? And even if it doesn't, they still shunted the American flag over to the side, so it sounds like they think the concept of Pride, which some people say is the deadliest of the Seven Deadly Sins, is more important than America.
