Just always be careful when liking "animal rescue" photos or videos. There are evil people out there who intentionally abuse animals and make them look terrible so they can film themselves "nursing them back to health" or whatever.

Yep. The example I remember is someone who hot-glued fake barnacles to a turtle's shell so they could look like a hero for removing them. Turtles have nerve endings in their shells, so they could feel the hot glue.
I'm guessing that was a tame example, and I don't really care to find out one way or another.
