My honest thoughts... Why? I mean do we need a movie about minecraft? No. Plus minecraft is the kind of game where... there is no story, and is hard to adapt into a story. And also the realistic style... when i first saw this my brain did not asociate this with minecraft. And that llama is just... uncanny. When it cut to the llama in the trailer i kind of jumped. And the dead silence for a bit didn't help either.
but I'll try to keep an open mind while watching. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

Minecraft story mode:

it would be a saving grace if telltale swoops up and cradles the movie. Sure, it would get delayed AGAIN, but with their storytelling abilities and their animation, they could save the movie

Songs of War was a masterpiece

when i first saw it, i thought it was bad
but when i saw some people with positive reactions, maybe the movie won't be so bad

Could be better, could be worse. The animals needs better models and they could have had better casting but it looks promising

I agree with YouTuber Mogswamp on this one. If they just did it in the style of the trailers, that would be so good.

the mobs look amazing i love the look of them but everything else looks trash it looks like they went to there local goodwill and got clothes and were put in front of a green screen and also they are doing the "tHEy GoT SUckEd IntO a ViDEo gaME" thing and that's pretty cringe

It would be a complete overhaul of the style. They'd have to transform EVERY SINGLE MOB from blocky to realistic, which would take up tons of time and money.
The difference with Sonic was that it was just one character, and it was mainly just an upgrade to the face.

Tbh it might be the worst trailer I’ve ever seen.

They milk the hell out of CGI technology, some of the CGI doesn’t even look that good, Jason Momoa somehow achieved to be unattractive, “I am Steve” made me cringe way too hard, and the best part of it was people roasting it.

Honestly a total disappointment.

And yeah, “a Minecraft movie” is a cringe af name.
