Kamala's parents were NOT American citizens at the time of Kamala's birth in Oakland. Ca
A "natural born citizen" is someone with at least one parent who is loyal to the country. Being that neither of her parents were citizens, means neither were loyal.
For clarity, the purpose for writing both terms "citizen" and 'natural born citizen" was meant to differentiate between a legal citizen (naturalized citizen) in addition to a person born on American soil who has at least one parent with legal citizen status. This was meant to prevent any outside infiltrator with malicious intent from gaining a position of power in our government.
The US Constitution defines a natural born citizen as someone who is born in the United States or its territories, and has at least one parent who is loyal to the country. The Constitution also states that only natural born citizens, or citizens at the time the Constitution was adopted, can serve as President or Vice President.
