Yep and at the time I had just begun paying on a souped-up 1970 Plymouth Duster that was getting only 11 miles per gallon. Fortunately the high school program I was in was established to let me leave school early each day and work. But considering that car's milage ALL I did was go from school to work and then home, period.

Up voted I actually learned something from this meme. In my memory it was President Ford who went for price controls with his WIN (whip inflation now). I didn't realize that he was only doubling down on Nixon's policy.
Interesting side note Ford was a globalist whole who (IMHO) was Part of the cover up of the JFK assassination, and the coup to remove Nixon, he was one of the few Republicans acceptable to the Democrat globalists.

I consider myself a pretty good student of history, but some how was unaware or missed the whole Nixon price controls thing. Ty for the meme, I intended to correct your history but fortunately unlike too many people who comment on this site I like to fact check myself before commenting.
