Of course capitalism doesn't solve poverty.
When I was dirt poor, there was still capitalism. It was out there doing its thing while I did (well, didn't...) do mine. For some bizarre reason, it didn't solve my poverty.
Then it dawned on me. And I solved it. (using capitalism)
Capitalism doesn't solve poverty, people do.
There is plenty to go around in terms of individuals accumulating wealth. The People who are doing well don't do better when others are doing poorly. That would be crazy. The better everyone does, well... the better we all do.
You can't say that about any other economic system.
Capitalism + freedom = the greatest, most prosperous country that has lifted more people out of poverty than any other, that the world has ever known
