I'm not gay but I'd imagine this would be awkward

Meh when my parents tried to give me the talk i just said "I already know" because my friends had already polluted me

I knew because I read biology books for fun when I was in elementary school for some reason

I have a friend who had this experience and told me about the whole thing in excruciating detail it was absolutely hilarious. They decided to come out as lesbian as soon as their parents were done talking.

"Now you know about the female anatomy and how it works and how sexual intercourse utilizes it."
"Yeah. Oh, by the way, I'm lesbian."
"oh, ummmm"

"The female cervix cleans itself."
"Dad, I like boys too"

I learned it from school, and I only had attraction to girls back then, but it was uncomfortable for another reason. They’d spit up the guys (males, amabs) and girls ( females, afabs) to teach us sex ed separately, and some of the guys used to ask us afab people in a creepy way if we “learned anything interesting in class” after that class would let out. The fact that they specifically came over there to ask us that, along with their tone of voice, made it feel pretty predatory to me. And sometimes some of the guys would even laugh when we didn't answer. They probably enjoyed how uncomfortable we looked. I hope things have gotten better since then.

At my school they had all the boys and girls just together in one room for one period. And I spent most of that. Every single day of the 2 weeks I think we had to spend learning that, surprised at the amount of information I already had gotten from the internet and biology books, that were in those packets. Also since I'm kind of obsessed with biology I also was like one of the only people who answered correctly for questions that apparently no other student in other periods had gotten, They're like what is the front part of your brain called and I said the scientific name which would be prefrontal cortex, And they gave me a Jolly Rancher because like I was the only person who had gotten that the entire day
