The context is from the Bible. This has been called the rapture of the followers of Jesus Christ and there are those that believe it will happen prior to God pouring out His great anger, His wrath upon an unbelieving, unrepentant world. Revelation tells of a changed climate that is far worse than anything imagined by man. 70+ pound hailstones, undrinkable water. Much of the plant life of this earth destroyed. Pestilence (viruses and plagues), famine, and worse. This will coincide and/or overlap with a one world government (sound familiar?). This rapture represents the escape from the next events. Going with Him seems to be a better option to many throughout history.

I am horrified for those that will left to deal with the wrath to come following this event. Wise people should be horrified to be not included.
