They had their civil unrest on January 6th, then went back to the trailer to their Hot Pockets and Bud Light and greased up fingers playing that CoD on the Xbox.
When Trump was inaugurated in 2017, there was a couple of women marches a few weeks apart simultaneously in various cities. They announced that they were going to have one a month throughout his term, again, simultaneous in multiple cities. Didn't hear about them again after the second one.
Even BLM and the Antifa that followed them got bored with themselves and that was the end of that. Sure, some may be protesting now due to the latest murder, but the momentum for the movement has fizzled.
Also, like the Toronto Trucker Convoy Protest you mentioned, they were going to do that here too after. First stop, Washington DC. They going to converge there and stop DC. Instead, DC stopped them. The traffic that these truckers were going to block was so heavy that as soon as they got unstuck from the traffic jams that were already there on a daily basis, they got out and they stayed out. And that was the end of what was going to be a series of truckers stopping cities. These guys actually thought that big city traffic was going to be like the road leading to their local Denny's. DC streets have more lanes than the highways in their states and more cars in a day than pass through their tumbleweed states in a year.
Then there was going to be the reverse this year in response to the that Trump real estate fraud courtcase, the truckers were going to boycott NYC. Golly, it was like the TP Crisis of 2020 all over again only on a more massive scale. The calamity.
Thing to remember is the US isn't like Canada or France or Britain. One of the benefits of being the fattest place on Earth is that getting off our gelatinous asses and doing something might interrupt our continuous banquet of corn syrup delights and flavored globs of maltodextrin. And that sucks.
The Romans understood this. Feed the people their daily bread (even got Jesus to insert it into a prayer!), and their complacency will only be rivaled by their apathy. We're fat. And there is nothing that can stop us from being that.
