Maybe the NYP has a better understanding of potential liabilities than the leftist outlets, and they don't want to be sued for 100 million if Gab's CEO had the account's owner wrong?
I don't know. But these little tidbits have been reported:
Thomas Crooks was known in the community as "The School Shooter."
He was an anti-Trump lib.
He was apparently a troubled kid.
He had other indications that a profiler could/would use to identify him as the man for a particular job.
That's why it was very possible that someone he'd never met before approached him and talked him into it.
As we know in the case of Gretchen Whitmer, there are people out there who can do that, will do that, and are doing that.
