I remember a comic strip that had about 10 scenes
8 were of a man tying his shoes in various different time periods (a history of shoe-tying, I guess)
the 9th panel was the creation of the department of shoe tying
The last was a man crying in front of the department being closed down, 'how will we tie our shoes without the department?!'
