Interesting because The Hobbit has one heck of an anti-war message in it. . .'course that's not surprising because Tolkien was in the trenches during WW 1. . .and if anyone ever wondered why he put Frodo through the wringer both physically and mentally guess what happened to Tolkien during his time on the front line.
