Gosh, I never even heard of the thing.

Although for a while I used to have a neighbor from Louisiana who had also lived many years in Texas, etc, and one day on Thanksgiving, I saw him outside early, and was turning on one of those things to deep fry the Turkey. But it was early in the day, so I reckon it takes time for that thing to warm up.
