It is looking more like a sanctioned hit. There is a very small possibility the SS snipers did see him but couldn't figure out if he was a local LEO. No release of body cameras and radio traffic makes a mistake almost impossible. The official story will remain mistakes were made but Americans know better than to believe any official statements.
