1. You could ignore the politics in Season 1 because of the quality of the writin'. The recent season is too "In Your Face" with them to be enjoyable
2. Shock Value has to have purpose to give it weight. If Shock Value is constantly used for the sake of Shock Value, the product will become unwatchable. Just look at the response to the recent episode. Even the Woke fans said that it crossed the line.

1.) no you couldn’t because again homelander has been a clear stand in for racism since day one. Conservatives are just media illiterate.

2.) the only time conservatives throw hissy fits about media is when they finally figure out or get told by their figure heads that media is criticizing conservative beliefs.

Or fallout has ALWAYS been a critique of corporate corruption, capitalism, McCarthy ism, and conservative mindsets as it led to the nuclear apocalypse, while having gay relationship options since the very first fallout.

2. No. We, the audience, want to be entertained, not to be preached at by Hollywood.
3. People loved Helldivers because it was awesome and fun. People loved Fallout because it was a fun little adventure in the post-apocalypse with lore that flushes out the world. What people hate is current day political bullshit bein' pushed on them.  
4. Avatar The Last Airbender couldn't be made today.
