A good reminder, Jeffrey. Spending our tax $ on stupid stuff really makes it even worse. Hopefully, we will be in a better place next year on the 4th of July.

The reason wasn't the amount being taxed, it was that we were not represented in voting on the taxes. Of course, most politicians don't have the people's best interest at heart, so you could argue it's similar to then.
