Atla is literally not an anime. Its an anime inspired cartoon. That being said it is quite good and was the gateway for me getting into anime.

Its literally not one though. Anime is literally defined as japanese animation of which atla doesnt belong to. The story beats and structure are anime esque though.

I think someone in nickelodeon thought anime was short for animation. I thought that too for the longest time. But honestly I don't really know why it's classified as one under nickelodeon. I, admittedly call it an anime most of the time as well because calling it a cartoon doesn't sound right, but by definition it is not one

Buddy it's not racist it's a fact. Anime, by definition is Japanese animation. Now while it's a great show it's not an anime. Also the fact that your calling it racist is not. Also anime is NOT an art style because the art of different animes changes alot. For example the art of Tensura and Deathnote are completely different.
