Yesterday I went into town, and I saw a guy that looked a lot like the man in the photo sitting on some church steps. When I saw he was still there on the way back, I stopped to see if he needed help, thinking he was homeless. Turns out is walks every day, and just got to hot. We shared lunch, talked about the mess the country is in and how waffle house is the best restaurant in town. Good day.

Yes . . . stopping to smell the roses and just appreciate life itself is underrated in today's U.S.

I wonder how many others saw him and ignored him because he looked homeless. That is actually how most of us out here look, rough beards, always dirty, stained shirts with holes. It's our work uniforms, the trucks look the same, beaten down, I wouldn't have it any other way. I clean up on Sundays and limit my trips into town until I have several stops to make.

Sounds like here... Except I can't grow a beard. 🤷🏼
