What makes you think term limits will solve anything? I think term limits might actually cause more problems. First, it makes public service seem less attractive as a career because a lot of people will think "What's the point in becoming a representative or a senator if I'm limited to (insert number here) terms regardless of whether I do a great job or not?" Second, when someone does do a great job and they have to step down because of term limits, you force voters to choose between several novices they know almost nothing about instead of someone with a proven track record of making things better. Third, with an excessive amount of turnover in the House and the Senate, the frequency of laws being changed, added or repealed might be more than most American citizens can handle.
