Exactly like THEIR parents said to the Boomers, except that most Boomers EARNED their way through college through hard work and self-sacrifice. They did not take out massive loans to party and live like royalty for four or more years while taking the modern day equivalent of Basket Weaving 101. So . . . no.

Well they kind of had no choice but to take out a student loan for tuition fees doesn't cost as much as a pizza delivery boy salary these days also boomers didn't earn their way through college, they actually had their parents pay for it, boomer parents don't pay for their millennial children's college fees because those irresponsibly decided to spend it on luxuries like cruises.

They had a choice, but it required self-sacrifice and a delay in their end goals; and they were too spoiled to go that route.

As to your other point, 90% or more of boomers DID NOT come from wealthy families who paid their way through life.

Most Boomer educated came from the LOWER economic segment of the middle class -- and definitely were not given a free ride by their parents -- but with the vast majority coming from the lower class itself; and paid their own way though college and life through hard work and self-sacrifice. Oh and countless numbers made it on the G.I. bill AFTER spending years in the military. The vast majority of Boomers . . . earned their way . . . the hard ways.
