Yeah, well I’m a conservative atheist. I piss off everybody. Atheists typically think they are supposed to be against anything Christians are for while Christians think they have to be against anything atheists typically favor.

It's a ridiculous dichotomy, innit? XD

Most dichotomies are false anyway so ...

Well, yes but also no. XD
In my experience, dichotomies are extremes used to define reality. They're fundamentally unrealistic because nothing ever leans completely one direction or another. BUT they are useful for mapping out a position. Duality is a natural phenomenon. Black and white, up and down, hot or cold, tranquil or agitated, etc. What really bothers me about dichotomies is that people will label each other as leaning completely in one direction or the other on any gradient scale, and that simply isn't how human psychology operates. But it just boils down to in-group/out-group bias and people trying to prevent the out-group from becoming an in-group as an evolutionary reflex to rebuke the corruption of their in-group's accepted values. So, I don't like it but I understand it.

Every dichotomy you listed has a middle ground, and some cases thousands of them.
Black and white? Shades of gray.
Hot or cold? You forgot warm. And who gets to decide what is cold or hot?
Tranquill or agitated? You’ve never been mildly pissed off, but not enough to take action? :)

No, 99% of dichotomies are false, especially when used in a debate.

XX vs XY is a real dichotomy as is pregnant or not. But most dichotomies are used to divide people or ideas into tribes for nefarious purposes. There are, almost always, middle grounds.

"Those are called anomalies"

Yes, they are anomalies, but they occur a lot more frequently than most people realize. And some people don't even realize that they happen at all.

"Most likely sterile and unable to pass along those mutations"

Where'd you hear that?

"Occasionally, a cow would be born with five legs. We didn’t go around saying that “cows now have four or five legs“ "

No, but we would say that that particular cow does not have four legs

"we simply put them in the county fair as a sideshow"

Is that what you think should be done with people who aren't XX or XY?

Dude, you’re gonna lose this argument. My daughter‘s best friend is a PhD geneticist. The number of people not xx or xy is approximately one in 30,000 not the 1 to 2% that the advocates try to say. Where did I get all this? Science. Real science not politicized science like what you’re probably referring to. it actually harms society and harms individuals when we try to degrade and ignore actual science in favor of someone’s feelings. And that’s all this is… Feelings. Not science. I’ll take the word of a PhD geneticist over some rando on Imgflip any day of the week.

One in thirty thousand.

It's higher than that

"Where did I get all this? Science. Real science"

Then cite your sources

"And that’s all this is… Feelings. Not science"

When did I say anything about feelings?

"I’ll take the word of a PhD geneticist over some rando on Imgflip any day of the week"

Then cite the scientific research

1. The Journal of Human Genetics
2. Journal of Clinical Endocrinology & Metabolism
3. and dinner with a PhD Geneticist.

Unlike most people I don't listen to advocate websites (that's where you'll find the 1.7% to 2.5% claims) that are hyped by doctors or pseudo scientists pushing an agenda. I also don't believe media of any type when it comes to science. I don't give any credence to "some scientists estimate [insert ideology here]" or "scientists believe [X]". I don't care what anyone "believes" I only care what they can prove and so far, they want to claim that dudes with a little peni$ are intersex, girls with a larger than normal cIit are intersex, and any other anomalies that don't fit an exact reference means intersex. Why? "Everyone's on a spectrum" claims -- hell, everyone is on a spectrum for damn near everything these days, autism, sex, mental illness, you name it. Why? Funding. And Big Pharma can now create meds so everyone gets that special treatment they crave. Follow the money.

I don't buy any of it.

My motto is "an exception to the rule doesn't invalidate the rule." Next we'll have people claiming that it's bigoted to claim that humans have ten fingers and toes because they knew a girl in grade school that had 6 toes on one foot. Maybe we need to have a special month dedicated to 11 toed girls? WE NEED AWARENESS TO BE PROMOTED FOR 11 TOED PEOPLE!!!

If someone said that it should be legal to deny someone a job because they had 11 toes (and that had nothing to do with the job duties), would you say that's okay? Because people are saying it should be legal to deny trans people jobs for no reason other than that they're trans

If an 11 toed black trans alien from Mars was the best qualified, have at it...give them the job. However, if a straight white male Trump voter is better qualified, he should get the job. 99 times out of 100 the job can be quantified to the point that merit, experience, ability CAN be determined (I did those certifications for several hundred different companies). The problem is, merit is no longer valued. Your skin color, what does or doesn't swing between your legs, into whom you want to put your pink wiggly parts, or how you identify this afternoon is taking precedence, particularly in government positions. Standards should never be lowered because of someone's race, sex, or onto whom they decide to rub their genitalia (assuming their of consenting age, of course).

It's to the point that all hires should be done without the hiring manager ever setting eyes on the candidate and the candidates should be assigned randomized names so that the hiring manager can't make any assumptions.

The rule is people are either male or female. The exception is “some people are neither.” But ALL people have either XX or XY. The scientific number on hermaphroditism is 1 in 30,000. Today’s advocates try to claim 1 in 100 up to 1 in 1500.

There are different types of variation. It may be rare, but it exists. XXY, XYY, Y, XXX, XXYY, XXXX, XXXY, and others.

Those are called anomalies, irregularities in the gene pool. Most likely sterile and unable to pass along those mutations. Evolution by natural selection is a cool process but every now and then, when dealing with billions of people with trillions of cells, something does go wrong.

Occasionally, a cow would be born with five legs. We didn’t go around saying that “cows now have four or five legs“, we simply put them in the county fair as a sideshow.
