While I don't think minimum wage workers have nothing to complain about, I think they should have a little more perspective and realize that they are lucky to have a job at all for it's really no as easy to get a job today as it was back in 1950s when you could get a job just for having white skin and a pulse they should also be grateful they always get paid for their work for they are protected by basic worker protection laws and their employer cannot be a second late paying them. They should be grateful they don't face the hardship freelancers face of doing thankless work designing a website only to have the client refuse to pay, making a bunch of shitty excuses of "It's not to my liking" and "I don't have the money to pay you" even though the freelancer spent hours and even days designing the website thoroughly to the client's liking and the client has plenty of money to pay for the services they ordered and agreed to pay x amount in the first place. Minimum wage workers sometimes face the disappointment of the government not raising the minimum wage and customers being rude to them and not tipping but that's nothing compared to the shit freelancers are put through being given no end of trouble by non-paying clients after hours of hard thankless work. I also wouldn't sneeze at a pizza party for I I'd never turn down a free pizza lunch not having to spend my anything of my paycheck to buy lunch or pack myself a lunch the night before. A pizza party also sounds like a generous thing for sn employer to do since an employer would probably try to get away with not paying you for your work if it weren't for basic worker protection laws as you saw how freelancers treat those who do hours of thankless work for them.
