This fool is a lawmaker everyone… | “IF YOU THINK GAS IS EXPENSIVE NOW WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE FORCED TO BUY AN EV.” -MTG; IN CASE YOU DON’T KNOW MARJORY. EVS RUN ON ELECTRICITY NOT GAS. PUBLIC CHARGING COSTS RANGE ANYWHERE AS A LITTLE AS 1.23 FOR 60 MILES OR AS HIGH AS 5.56 FOR 60 MILES WHICH WOULD COME OUT TO ABOUT AN EQUIVALENT OF 0.52 TO 2.35 A GALLON. IT’S EVEN CHEAPER USING HOME CHARGING. | image tagged in mtg explains, how dumb is you jon stewart, jon stewart, electric vehicles, gas | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Most of that electricity is generated by natural gas & coal fired generators

Correct!

That’s only the case for the eastern seaboard.

The other side of the U.S. relies more on solar, hydro, and nuclear. Even wind in some areas.

On that we can actually agree the Ev market has been leaning way to heavy on the luxury side for way too long.

Thanks to manufacturers like Tesla.

That varies wildly by the EV and brand. Second gen EVs are about the same as used gas cars atm. Warranty costs also vary.

In my case about 10k for a 2015 i3. Which in 2022 terms buying that for the same cost as a used mazda 3 from 2009 after is a pretty good deal.

EV charger owners and lessees must pay a combined excise tax and surtax fee of $0.03 per kilowatt hour of electricity used to charge EVs. The tax will be added to the selling price charged by the station operator.

Oh no 3 Pennies how awful.

Sigh love how you don’t even mention if this federal/state regulation or your source…
But that also sounds like for publicly charges which means my original point still stands that home charging is cheapest and public charging is cheaper then gas.

Especially when it's on your parents electric bill, for a car they got conned into buying.
