Kids scuffing up pride flags art on the road isn’t accepting or kind yet it shouldn’t be criminalize. Forcing people to use language (pronouns) to make others feel excepted isn’t going to have the affect LGBQ are hoping for. It only creates animosity. Burn an American flag. Freedom of speech, burn a gay pride flag is a hate crime. People get pissed, causing more strife.

It’s not polite to walk in and announce your pronouns nor demand that everyone else participate in your fantasy or delusion.

No argument here. Yet with fifteen million pronouns people will find it easier to not talk to a person to avoid an issues. That said people do have a right not to be harass or assault anyone. Dictating how people must address them is an harassment in itself. Calling it a hate crime is extreme. Running scuffing up a pride painting isn’t helping. Better to have the teens work (community service) restoring the painting would be appropriate. Hate crimes were designed to protect victims of hate, not paintings. A bridge too far.

Teachers dictate how to address you all the time. Like it's rude to call a teacher by their first name if they tell you not to. It's not a hate crime to e, it's just being impolite. You have free speech, but I also have free speech to call you an asshole.

We are adults here, many are past grade school. Individuals conduct their life as they see fit. Adults make adult decisions (as faulty as it may be) molded by life experiences, personal temperament, and a whole lot of luck. Life is complicated enough, pronouns compliance as a sign of respect to merely appease someone’s self-worth is not welcome by many.
