I know people that went to community college that cost less than $10,000 for a bachelors and borrowed $100,000. Then went to grad school and borrowed another $200,000. Knowing they’ll be lucky to ever make over $150,000 - because they already knew what job a family member could get them into through fraud.
Even with Public Service Loan forgiveness—still broke. For life.
The kicker is, since they knew they were guaranteed the job, they didn’t do anything but get by to get the degree required for the job. And suck at what they do.
