The support the troops days are over. The veterans of the Stan and Iraq, like me have mad respect for our forefathers. The Vietnam, Korea and occasion WWII vets are the ones you see wearing military bling, my generation mostly gave that up, we don't want to be associated with the woke members of today's military. I will admit to serving if asked but I do not wear anything military related, fly no flags on my home, there are no stickers on my truck. I do what I can to fit in. In my case the muscles could be work related the tan helps, the permanent limp could be an old farm injury, the hard eyes could be military or prison, you see a lot of both out here, for the most part no one asks and I don't explain any of it.
One thing you keep getting wrong, most of the military have no issues with gays, we never have, we had them in our day too, they were rare, tended to hide it but were accepted when it was proven they could hold up their end of the job.
When we mention the woke, we are mostly talking about the in your face types that want special treatment and less responsibility. A trans can cheat and beat females in sports but that doesn't work in military. Weakness places everyone at risk and we see today's military as substandard, weaklings, so far, they haven't accomplished anything to change that image.
