Grevy's zebra is NOT extinct. It's alive and well in Africa.
THAT'S the point.
Hagerman horse becoming extinct because the glaciers melted and so it starved to death because it had no more ice to eat yet somehow it made it all the waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to Africa where it still exists alive today, no snow to graze on required, kinda contradicts itself a lot, aye?
Grevy's, the largest species of zebra, is actually what we would call an ass. The other species, Plains and Mountain zebras, are actually closer to horses.
All equines used to be striped. Zebra striped.
