I am going to say it now (Knowing that I might get backlash for it) George Orwell's "1984" was not about the left nor was it about the right, while George himself was a socialist, he wrote the book to point out the far extremities for the two sides, authoritarianism, and how no matter what side of the political spectrum, there will always be extremism (Communism of the Left, Fascism of the Right). It just aggravates me whenever people post this sort of stuff, because they are becoming the same people in "1984" people who will shout out how one side is the extremist, without look at their own politics. =]

Orwell was a socialist, until his service in the Spanish Civil War. At that time, he saw that the leadership on his side, especially the Russians, were a factory of lies. Their lies were mainly to keep the war going. Sound familiar?

After WW2, he was horrified by the efforts to bring socialism to England (Ing). That's why he wrote 1984.

Until you understand that 'soc' in 'Ingsoc' stands for socialism, you'll never know the truth.

You make a very good point my friend. Now this the main reason as to why he decided to write 1984, and it is very true that INGSOC, stands for "English Socialism", but it wasn't because Orwell completely changed political views is why he wrote it, it was because he now realized and saw for himself that both sides of the political spectrum can have it's evil and corrupt sides, he wrote the book as a warning to people, to be aware of these dangerous potential that can be brought from socialism, nationalism, communism, fascism, all political ideologies should never be completely trusted, for every ideology will have it's dark side.

I am not sure that is what Orwell meant, but the damage extremism has done, Nazis, communists, nationalists, etc. is clear. History proves you are correct.

Think about the action that would actually take... Politics is wrapped up in Big Business, Big Pharma, and Big Oil.. To tear the power structure down you would have to somehow crush the Goliath that is greed. Our government is corrupt because someone is willing to spend billions to dollars to own it.

Yeah, its not easy. Because the powers that be who i call the globalists run everything and will simply buy out any new system or control it from the top down like u say. Thats why a new rule by the people in a grass roots movement which doesnt recognise the power of these people and their control grid is the only way.. 1776 style.

Check out the movie "Viva Zapata" With Marlon Brando from 1952. It shows how even with a grass roots movement by the people.. money creeps in and everyone has a price. The few outsiders that are not for sale wind up alone and disillusioned. Its a great movie and really has a ton of relatable issues to today.

Its a never ending war, fighting the globalists.. They have unlimited resources.. They are a terrifying enemy. When you really think about what you are wanting to do, personally I think its too late. I think we are headed for a dystopian future.

With any "side" of you stray from the common thought process you are punished. Being an independent truly is the most difficult position in these polarized times.

People need to wake up and start community policing, removed from police authority which is the ground level authority of the globalists. When disease x comes and a lot of those paid immigrants turn out to be UN soldiers....
