Yeah, pretending you're still a reality TV during a pandemic isn't facing the media, and lest we forget, the idiot had a press secretary that never once held a briefing.

Still waiting for Jen Sucky and Cringe Jean-Pierre, the fool-in-chief to have a real press briefing where they actually answer a question.

And we're still waiting on those Republican plans for healthcare, infrastructure, inflation, addressing the debt, or really anything pertaining to actually governing a country.

It’s called private enterprise which always manages to do far better than government

Does it though? We've used government to build everything from public transit to railways and the interstate highway system, to provide healthcare to service members, the poor, and elderly, and to create an elastic and resilient monetary system that doesn't implode into a great depression every time our economy faces adversity.

But 40 years of the right's private enterprise "plan" has left us a hollowed out husk of what we once were, and those systems are all crumbling because someone convinced you giving everything to the rich would somehow trickle down to you.

Since you bring up the VA system, let me ask you if you have ever done any kind of work with veterans or made use of it. Their backlog is an atrocity. Schools? Private schools all outperform public in every grade. Post office? We can get mail faster by UPS or FedEx. Phone companies? Used to be a government monopoly but now choices make them better. If you want help for the poor, great. Private soup kitchens actually get food to them without the waste of money that comes from public welfare. I do maintenance on a federal facility. Care to guess how long it took to get a wax ring delivered after it was put out for supply last June? It was finally fixed last week. That’s the government central planning efficiency for you.

Private healthcare companies don't provide free or discounted services to vulnerable populations or those who have given themselves to our nation, private carriers are only committed to delivering where it's profitable to do so leaving large swaths of the nation unserved, and soup kitchens can't keep the working poor or their children fed at scale.

Problems societies experience require solutions on their scale, and you can either centrally fund and manage those solutions, or they can grow like a cancer where profitable and create service deserts everywhere else.

Medical staff have needs as well. Stop being so selfish and wanting everything for free. That’s why nothing in life is ever free. Even if it is provided at “no cost” to someone, it is being paid by taxes, which is no different than theft.

But you never answered how the central planning actually works when private enterprise can be more efficient.

Your post just proves that lefties are selfish. Private charity does a much better job of helping. If you want people to give to help others, start by giving your own resources. If you’re not willing to do that, you are doing what I describe here👆.

No, not selfish at all - just reasoned with complete information.

You see, I'm not demanding to be given something for free, I'm stating how the tens of thousands of dollars I pay into this system each year would best be used to address problems you guys would rather ignore and allow to fester until they become terminal, and the fact is we are extremely close to the line on several of these issues.

The problem with your faith in private enterprise is you stop paying attention beyond the individual enterprise. On the whole, the duplication of bureaucracy and the nature of being focused on investor return over producing goods, services, and jobs is obscene compared to government waste.

Government waste only gets worse with central planning. Free markets and private enterprise makes everything better. Ever wonder why Chinese products are basically disposable? Central planning plays a large part in that. Compare that to places where the individual enterprise leaves people free to experiment and make improvements. You can probably start with your cell phone.

Meanwhile central planning leads to shortages, higher prices, shoddy products, terrible service, and increased misery — and it can only be enforced through means of coercion, such as Hitler used.

You've blown well past the point of this conversation which is dealing with societal issues like infrastructure, healthcare, defense, and parcel delivery - not the production of orange juice and video games.

The motive to profit may be great when talking about delivering non-essential items to populations with disposable income, but when dealing with critical services every man-hour and penny matter, and profit only comes at the expense of service.
