Cost of Running a McDonalds Jumps $250,000 in CA this year

Every fast food restaurant in California should buy a couple home countertop bread machines and sell bread. Then they get the Gavin Newsome buddy exemption on the cost of labor. Nothing in the law says how much bread they need to sell.

The ones that want to stay in CA and in business will... and no "protection donation" to Newsom is necessary...

For those not familiar, which law would that be?

California passed a law requiring fast food employees be paid $20//hr. The law carved out an exemption for restaurants that sell bread as a stand alone product. Panera Bread restaurants is the beneficiary of that exemption.

One of California Gov Newsome’s biggest political donors owns a lot of Panera Bread franchises.
