When I think of Tomato sauce, I think of tomato based pasta sauce. Pasta sauce is very different in taste and consistency from ketchup so I’m happy ketchup isn't called tomato sauce. As for why it's called ketchup, there is a few theories, but no definite answer.
In different parts of the world soccer is football. Words for things can differ and that ok. It's not a big deal.
There are many other places to get coffee than Starbucks. Some local coffee houses are really good.
If that is a true statistic, then simply put, it's not something we often think about. I have never thought about how many guns the usa has. My personal opinion on guns is there are many valid reasons to have one. If you can pass a background check, have gun safety training, and maybe a first aid certificate incase there is any accidents, then you should be able to own a gun. Just keep it locked up safely when not in use.
There is soooooo many different accents. The new yorker, the Boston, Baltimore, Philadelphia, maine, mid western, new Orleans/cajun, California, southern, Texas, etc…
Y’all, it's a contraction of you all like how can’t is can not. Only some parts of the usa use it as a plural of “you”. Other plurals of you include yous, you guys, you-uns (somehow short for you and your kin), and you all. I personally switch between using you all and you guys.
Alaska may be bigger, but not many people live there, and is not part of the main chunk of land that is the USA nor is it a tourist area like Hawaii so I don't think many of us think about Alaska that much. It's not worth bragging about in my opinion. If we're going to go to one of the two, we’re more likely to go visit Texas and understand how big Texas is by being there.
There is a star for each state so the stars make sense too.
