If fertilizer was not available, explain to me why some states have fertilizer plants going up for every 250 square miles? Once upon a time farmers knew how to farm without fertilizer, and spending money on corporate chemicals. .. sure production was less than, but the farmer didn't have the entire world depending on them back in the day. Fast forward to now, the government runs everything, and if you take a look at some of the red farming states, the people running the government are the ones with the dirtiest farming and farming chemical operations. It's like a wasteland out there.

As far as the diesel prices are concerned, tax free diesel can only go so far, and unless your a little guy, the only farmers making it are highly funded corporate farms.

We've set three production records in the past 7 months for pumping crude and are doing so faster than at any point in our nation's history, but we're now struggling to meet demand for refined products because we lost six refineries during the pandemic due to low demand and high maintenance costs.

Supply and demand explain the rest - tight fuel supplies lead to increasing prices, and high prices lead companies to reduce stocks of raw materials, further tightening supplies downstream.

This is the market at work attempting to recover from being sabotaged and bankrupted like a New Jersey Casino.
