Outside of STEM subjects universities have degraded into nothing more than leftist ideological litmus test mills. A college diploma essentially indicates that you have finished the ideological indoctrination process started in public grade school to the system's satisfaction. Thus a company or smallish business can safely hire you without fear of you saying or doing something non P.C. Thus no backlash from the H.R. department.
