Boeing used to be a company led by Engineers who built excellent airplanes. Now they are led by bean counters who only care about the company's next Profit & Loss statement.
Boeing has been declining for years since they merged with McDonnell Douglas and MD executives assumed key leadership roles. These executives are so focused on the P&L, they forgot that what they are selling has to be verified 100% perfect before it rolls out the door. They cut costs too much, including, as we all know, Quality Control Checks. And now, door plugs are falling out of brand new planes while in flight, and 737 Max planes are falling out of the sky.
People in Seattle used to say, "If it's not Boeing, I'm not going." Not anymore.
Boeing planes aren't what they used to be.
Boeing isn't the same company it used to be.
